WANTED - Genuine Dreamlink T6 Internal Photos

Hey guys,

I've been doing some experimenting with the Dreamlink T6 and I'm trying to narrow down the reason why the clone files will not accept the factory update files.

Upon opening my cloned T6 I noticed that there are quite a few components missing.

The board is a standard Amlogic dual core CPU board (G18ref) for anyone who is interested.

Meaning, we should actually be able to start breathing some new life into these old receivers.

However, I'm running into some limitations, and I believe it to be because the device is missing some of the components that the factory unit would have had.

So, I'm turning to the community. If anyone has a NON-CLONE T6 they would be willing to take a photo of and post I could potentially narrow down the issues I've been having and hopefully provide a hardware fix which would in turn make our clone T6's genuine.

So if anyone at all has a non-clone and would be interested in helping me develop a solution I would very much appreciate it. A photo of the internals would be a fantastic start.

Worst mistake dreamlink owner ever made. He wouldnt even listen to the dreamlink team and pushed this ahead of the t1

Download picture to computer and remember where it downloaded too.Then click reply then click on square icon above comment box that says insert image.Then click from computer then click browse and go to where picture is located then then click image then upload.

It looks like the clones are missing the main TSOP NAND chip which the G18REF boards all have. This makes sense why stock firmware images for the non-clone would fail and brick the device as it would attempt to install the build directly to the NAND (Which on the clones at least, doesn't seem to exist) causing the device to brick. And seeing as there is ZERO firmware images for the clones, other than the update packages which aren't actually firmware, just patches to the system, it all makes sense.

So, very interesting. Looks like they didn't use a TSOP chip in the non-clones either. Major differences I see are there are a few components missing from the clone that are on the original (As expected) but also some added components on the clone. Mainly an eeprom chip on the clone located above the processor by the display. You can see that is absent from your box.

Also, the ram and memory chips are different which was anticipated.
