You can't go wrong with a T5...just make sure you get a fan. I've had two for the past 7 years!!!

I have my current T5 sitting on a laptop fan so it turns on/off with the box. Will definitely recommend my buddy get one.

Depends whether one wants one or both as to what may or may not work. Software and or hardware could play a factor with some older SD units as well. Research and read read till your eyes bleed. Examples...

From my research if one is looking for new/both then options are limited. If one is looking for used/one then there are more options. Again software and or hardware can play a factory or the lack of.

Nfusion HD is confirmed working with B3v all chs, as stated in the above post read & somewhere you’ll find all you need on this forum.

all I did with my T5 was raise it higher and that seems to work just fine, have mine for about 5 years and still running great

If it's the T4 he has an HD capable receiver...just add a dl100/dl200.
Only practical if used for Bell though

You need the hd module for dish as well because all channels are encoded in turbo 8psk
