yes i forgot about those , didn't have much time yesterday but i also got a little package with sticky foam pads not sure what they are for, almost missed the batteries as they were at the very bottom.

I wondered the same about the sticky foam pads and I ended up with the conclusion that they are for the SSHD for when you install it although not certain.

So does anyone have any idea if the lit up buzz logo on the front of the box always stays on? Mine does regardless if it is powered on or not.

yes it stays on It goes red when powered fully off

lol yep it's pretty bright. I haven't had mine go red though just blue. Am I not turning it off properly?

lol mine complained about the brightness of the light also but she loves how clear the picture is. I recorded a show the other night for her to watch yesterday and she said she couldn't believe how nice the fast forward and rewind worked. I have an SSHD coming in next week and will be putting that in
