ECM, havent heard that word in some time, would the swap to mpeg4, gitting rid of all old receivers, leaving 9242 as only modable ird, wonder if they are now going to go route as d!sh did and hit cams

question, do the old cams still work in subbed ird, as you mention running on backup cams now

If MPEG 4 is in the future, only turbo 8psk modulated hardware will work.The 9242 will work as well as Dreamlink,Sonicview,ect with the turbo 8psk module installed.

And if that DOES happen, working stbs will be priceless.Look often & look hard in the market places for hardware,working or not.lol.IKS still has it's marketplace for sure, & as long as reasonably priced high speed internet is not available to everyone, it will remain that way.

what i meant was, with the upgrade to mpeg 4 only irds, the only irds left to use the cam for iks is the 9242, d!sh was hitting cams back in the day when they did the mpeg4 upgrade, and it ended iks down south. if bev is now doing the same, well, iks end is near, i dont have any gear left to take a look at what is actually happening, thats why i was wondering, did the cams get hit, do they work in the subbed ird or just a black screen now?

not familiar with the 611, i know d!sh had the 622, it was the same as the 9242, just different providers. can you get the required cam/ird info to run iks from a 611? 9242 is the only remaining ird that i am aware of that you can extract the SK from the tsop, but as said i have not been involved in a while, my question still is, do the ecm cams still work in subbed ird or do you just get black screen.

if running on backup, and if cams are as d!sh did, then well, when the ecm comes back, may be game over, unless u got more cams, if was ecm, need to get details, see if same as d!sh did, block the emm

Mods? It Might be a good idea to blank the box keys & ird # & move this to the appropriate thread.





Really not the right thread for this request,

Check your sat feed with known working ird.

Check your capacitors, look for bulged or leaking. Do a search on the web there are lots of pictures to guide you for what to look at.

Try booting with the hardrive disconnected. If it boots ok then suspected hd failure.
