Quick question regarding recording on a Buzz4900.
If I pre record a show or 2 on my buzz 4900 do I have to keep the power on at all times for it to record the show or will the box turn on by its self to record if I turn it off?
thanks![]()

You must leave the box on
It doesn't have to be on live tv
Hopefully this will be updated in the near future
Thanks for the info guys.![]()
If you set the power button to function as standby (may be called different as not infront of box) start live tv, press EPG, setup recording, go back to livetv then press the power button the box will enter standby mode and will wakeup and record when it is time to record.
you can record and shut buzz off now
Hey, I got iptv on a firestick now. But want to upgrade to a buzz box.
How does it works, is this much like a fta with iptv or its just like an app on an android interface?
Thx
Yeah thx, but I just wanna know if there's any difference between firestick and buzz, out of the performance?
I'm already able to run all iptv streaming, almost 4k movies too.
Would the buzztv worst it or just recording option more?
I've gotten so used to my buzz boxes, and the BuzzTV 5 app (that is the main app on the box for IPTV/VOD), and I can't go back to any generic boxes with any 3d party apps.
I have many colleagues at the office that have used firesticks generic boxes and appletv boxes for IPTV. I sometimes lend them one of my "5" series boxes to try for 3 or 4 days, so they can try before they buy, and most just turn around and order a BuzzTV classic the first day they try it. The Classic is (in my opinion) one of the best values around for someone getting their first buzz. Has the same CPU as the X5 and U5 (so performance is great). And also has a Bluetooth remote with Airmouse (BT-250). Where it differs is the memory and a little bit the onboard storage (if you compare to the X5 1298). But those are not a huge factor if you use it most mostly for IPTV.
We have a 10% coupon on satfix for orders on buzztvglobal. It's a "sticky" on top of many buzz threads.. Try the X5 thread and you should see it on top. Now works on both the US and Canadian site. And don't forget free shipping above $99.
Or you can wait a few days, I am sure they will have some sort of "back to school" sale (possibly 15% or 20%) or some bonus.
