Default Dish Pro Plus LNB amplifier?

Hey there - I've recently switched from using legacy LNBs to using a DPP Quad LNB, but I discovered that my new cable run seems to be a bit too long for my FTA receivers to properly pick up all the transponders on my sats (82/91) using the new LNB. A BEV receiver can pick up all transponders on both sats just fine at the indoor end of the cable run. If I plug in my FTA box right next to the dish, it also picks up everything fine.

Is there a way to amplify the signal from the LNB so that my FTA boxes get a stronger signal? My understanding is that the amplifier somehow needs to pass power either 13 or 19v according to what the receiver outputs to select polarization - but I can't just use a normal inline amplifier because the DPP LNB needs 500mA of current and the amplifier also needs its own current. But the powered amplifier I have just always outputs 19v and ignores what the input voltage is, because it's powered by a 19v wall wart. Or does the DPP LNB use something other than 13/19v to select polarity?

Also absolutely open to alternative solutions that don't need an amp. The cable run is all new good quality RG6 except for about the last 40ft which is good quality RG11.

Fta boxes/receivers Don't have enough power to operate DPP Quad LNB's you need a power inserter or a powered switch
for them to run/operate correctly, and depending how long your cable runs are doesn't help, you want to keep
the cable runs as short as possible.

You need one of these: hxxps://www.amazon.ca/DPP44-Power-Inserter-Dish-Network/dp/B00WC4SWRU

The DPP power inserter that Auggie has posted is the only one that will run the DC power hog DPP quad LNB, it needs over 500 mA of DC current to run right, and the quad LNB does not use the 13 and 18 volt switching as the other type LNB's, the DPP quad LNB needs about 20 volts DC to run right, the DPP power inserter will do this.

I would run it up on the coax connected to the #1 port of the quad LNB then use the #2, 3 and 4 outputs of the quad to run the rest of the system, using this power inserter you should be able to run at least 200 feet of good coax to the receiver.

I have run over 300 feet using a DPP pro switch at the mid point.

Awesome, guys. I temporarily switched back to the old legacy LNBs and just threw a diseqc switch next to the dish and that worked until... I got the power injector and swapped everything back and the DPP is working now. I need the legacy LNBs for another project else I'd just keep using them. Thanks a ton.

like stated above dpp44 switch with power inserter

the dishpro lnbfs that are single are better than the square all in one. run those on the dpp44 switch then can run bev retail and fta receivers

dish pro plus lnbfs I wouldn't recommend for fta.

legacy lnbs always work better for charlie and beverly but are outdated for the most part if running bev receivers off the same dish.
