Factory reset

I currently have 3 classics with issues. All are on 5.0.919
With all 3 I tried to do the toothpick reset (hold down for 15 seconds when applying power) but none will go the the android man reset screen.
One of the devices I can boot and get to the buzztv reset which works fine but comes up as 5.0.913 version then about 30 minutes later updates to v5.0.919.

What am I missing to do the toothpick reset? Was this reset ability removed?

they can't get to recovery screen using toothpick or power button on box

I told him after hockey game I might try it on my classic

hes correct. I just tried and buzztv classic not going to recovery either. after buzz logo just stays at black screen.

maybe they'll have a fix for it that they can send ota

I never took the V20240202 update and can get to recovery screen

Thanks strange. I had done a reset a few days ago on it. I just checked to be sure, and I have 20240202 and it works fine on my classic.

However I used the button on the side. Press and hold, plug in while holding, wait a few seconds, and bingo.

EDIT: I just repeated it a few times to confirm. And while holding button, it takes about 14 seconds to get to recovery screen after plugging it in.

but I don't have new firmware

I tried too and I could factory reset it

I tried again both ways and still nothing on classic but U5 goes to recovery without any issue.

I have to ask, which firmware and was it the toothpick reset?
It only looks like the issue is with the Classic.

I held power button down and then plugged in box and held button until screen appeared
