it could be the service you use
mine starts populating after first letter is entered

wicked. its the lag when you put in the next letter. takes time to load the selections so prohibits moving to the next letter input.

has nothing to do with remote. each time you choose a letter/number it freezes as it waits for the vod options to reload on the left. slow to load options. still trying to figure out the cause.

make backup of server then clear data by going into settings, buzztv app then try again
