I believe that the pvr function is limited to usb drives.

    I believe it too...,

I receive this receiver just about 5 days...

I tried a 32g USB stick. and the system asked me to format it in NTFS or Fat 32. I took NTFS and the pvr worked for 3 minutes and everything freeze.

I contacted the seller and he replied that the receiver was sold without a manual even though it is written on the User Manual Include box. Without PVR impossible to record, play, pause, etc...

Perhaps by using a USB box with a 500 g SATA hard drive. more or less it could work, if anyone knows the
    answer...

    Thank you so much...

I have had success using a 1TB WD external USB drive with external power brick, using EXFAT format.

I have use USB in jynxbox without issue, just format to fat or like others said extfat. Try a 64GB stick, how much TV are you going to save anyway?
