So for ipvanish and Windscribe how do you use the app on say a TV box. Do you download and install and apk? What about on a PC or a router?
Can't comment about IP Vanish (but I am sure it is similar), but for windscribe, you have piles of different clients for different platforms.
You can either download them direct from their website, or direct from the platform store (Apple store, google play store, or even aptoide, etc..). Or generate a router config from their web page assuming your router has a vpn client integrated (typically openvpn).
One detail with Windscribe, is that they also have 2 different Android clients. One for generic Android devices, and one for AndroidTV devices. The AndroidTV client works best on TV boxes, since it is optimized for use with a "remote". I install it on all my Buzz boxes.
Windscribe you can also sign up for a free tier, and you can get up to 10GB/month to try it before you buy if you want. 10GB will get you a few hours to test.Code:https://windscribe.com/install/mobile/android-direct-tv
And they all presently have Black Friday sales going on, making it dirt cheap (less than $0.10/day). It's a no brainer.

The FastestVPN service is currently selling a lifetime package of 40 dollars instead of 600 the week of Black Friday .
It’s definitely not the fastest vpn out there considering they named the service FastestVPN , it is still more than enough speed for video streaming . 10 devices connected max.
There average download speed is around 58mbps according to tech radar reviews.
If your looking for a rock bottom deal, it won’t be cheaper than FastestVPN.
Starlink router support VPN Quote:
"Yes. Starlink supports VPNs that use TCP or UDP. SSL based VPNs typically work best to traverse CGNAT. NAT traversal support is required by the VPN."
Does windscripe or ipvanish support these modes?
i have used them all using vpnbook on top of all the others
only vpnbook allows you to do this as far as i know
i have been trying to duplicate what canadians are going through
maybe develop a proxy program.
vpnbook

I am also thinking about getting a vpn and am in Canada. Wondering which one is better Surfshark VPN or IPvanish
I haven't tried surfshark in a few years but ipvanish has a better black friday deal

Which VPN would work best with a generic android box, also does anyone have any good links (not live links) with instructions on how to get started with VPN's
So with Windscribe when you create a login then install the app on various devices, the username and password is always the same?
So if a device becomes logged out then they need the username password to sign back in, is that correct?
How does ipvanish deal with different devices, same way?
So dishuser, is the autofill a function of Buzz (BT5) or android. Where do I make the setting changes in a BT5 box? Also I am guessing that the connect on startup is a lot like Windows startup apps. So this would be a function of Android/BT5. I am at work so can't fish around in a box right now. Where do I find that?
Sorry for the spoon feeding but one thing I have found about android is some menus don't appear unless something is turned on first.
