IPTV and Meta Quest 3

Hello all.

I am just curious if anyone has had luck with getting IPTV with the Meta Quest 3 working?

I currently use TiviMate on a Nvidea Shield Pro but that service is only set up for a Mac Address and after many years of good service the provider is retiring. It appears from googling that TiviMate does not work on the Quest 3 which is unfortunate as I really like the app.

One IPTV service that interests me is provided by one of the two on here that still does IKS, as they had provided stellar service to me over the years when I used IKS. I see they have a stand alone app that you can log in with a user password. I am curious if anyone uses this and how their app compares to TiviMate.

If anyone has suggestions AND success on getting IPTV up and running on the Quest3 I would be interested. I am not interested in any set up using a cable running from my quest to the shield as I will be accessing this from a hospital with non public wi-fi and a VPN. I do also have an Xbox S/X controller as well if that helps compatibility issuers.

Thanks, but as mentioned in my post, after googling I have discovered the Quest 3 does not like TiviMate and it crashes despite Meta OS being based on Android

how would you use a vr headset with any iptv app?

I am pretty sure side-loading the .apk is the way to do this.

Being the age I am playing VR games on the Q3 is something I actually don't do very often (other than one of the mini golf apps. lol). I did manage to get RetoArch up and running which for me kicks absolute but. I do upload a lot of TV shows / Media files to watch while I am getting my chemo treatments, and love watching them on the 'big screen'. I have had a pretty decent success rate side-loading android apps which I enjoy as well ... Especially some of the pinball ones lol. For me the head set does a lot more than just VR apps.

im curious about this as well what browser are you using?
not sure about oculus but this might work on mozilla 1
go to "internet archives" the movies, tv shows,and music they have
are .mkv and .mp4`s to search for a video use the keywords
'internet archive download clint eastwood" or use a movie title
"internet archive download spiderman 2" it will take you to the cover page

on the coverpage scroll down the "show all" and click on it it will open
the page with the playable content on it since the quest is supposed to handle .mkv.mp4
and mpg`s i dont see why they wouldn't work but you can try.

you can just click on a .mp4 or the .mkv they should play back like they do on mozilla
firefox on your pc.

if that doesn't work you can also try searching for
index of movies
index of vod`s
index of mp4`s

only the mp4`s work work from clicking on them
the mkv`s you can copy and paste the link i do the whole site

and make a m3u renrty is php and will play back the videos just click on them

not sure if any of this will work you can try them
also one thing internet archives are watched by the DMCA
so if one uploads a movie it can be taken down as a term of service
after 90 days i think it is ?
