I went to the lyngsat site to see what changes may have been made to bev and I noticed that it doesn't give the H or V on the tp it gives R or L I don't know the difference could someone please explain. I have the jynxbox and the changes told me H or V not R or L.
Thanks for your help once again

On the settings in my jynxbox it says H or V just wanted to know the translation from lyngsat to jynxbox. Also in the post of what tp's to change to turbo it also mentioned H and V. same stuff just different terminology I guess

The satellites up there use two polarity's to send the signals down, there are 4 types,(or 2 sets) one set is Horizontal or Vertical, these are the linear polarity satellites like 99 or 101 West and use a linear or universal LNB, the other set is Right or Left polarity (clockwise R or counter clockwise L) this type of polarity is used on satellites like 91W (BEV) or 119W (Dish), you need a special circular polarity LNB for these satellites.

i posted this in the jynxbox subthread but since someone else was having this issue here i am wondering if anyone might be able to share some insight.

I am trying to get CP 24 on 91 ch503 to work on my jynxbox.

Lyngsat states CP 24 is on freq 12355 L tp 10

    On the Jynxbox I manually added 12355Mhz with 21500Ks/s V with 8PSK

Another user NorthernPike stated that - on lyngsat R=V & L=H for the jynxbox
So lyngsat states it should be H. (I know lyngsat isnt up to date)

But when put the frequency on 'H' i cannot get a frequency lock; but if i put it on 'V' I do. But if I try and do a manual scan for that frequency. i don't see any channels when i scan ( I have tried scanning 10+ times)

Is there any advice on how to setup the transponders/frequencies properly?
Is there a channel list I can just import into my box?

If it helps i have JynxBox v30
    loader version 1.2.20
    hardware version 1.0.3
    database version 1.0.1
    firmware 4.0.02

Is it possible I'm using the wrong LNB? it previously worked fine with my dreamlink v5 and was able to get all channels on 82.

I removed the DISEQC switch and have the JynxBox directly plugged into 91 LNB.

    Here is your possible problem.
It should be ...On the Jynxbox I manually added 12355Mhz with 21500Ks/s H with 8PSK....not V.

Remember the circular polarized satellites (91 and 82) need a circular polarized LNB, so when the transponder says 12222 L on lyngsat it should be entered as 12222 H on the box.

And lyngsat is up to date, if you look in the far right column you will see one marked "source updated" this is when that TP has last been updated to the latest information..

    Code:

First off it's not cool to hijack some else's thread, start you own thread and people can help you better. Secondly I was having the same kinda issue you are (channels not scanning in) when I swapped out my LNB for a new one it scanned in everything perfectly. An LNB can do crazy things when it starts to wear out so that might be your issue........

Do you get a lock on any other H transponders ?
If yes, are you sure that you created the transponder correctly ?
The H or L transponders are 18 volts while the V or R transponders are 13 volts ... so it's possible that you have a power supply issue or a problem with the JB200.

The common problem with these Jynxbox's "Seems" to be the JB200 Module
They burn out due to over-heating & such, you have to have "Cooling Measures" inplace (Fans)
to keep it cool & the other components inside the box from overheating.

No i only get signal lock on V/R transponders. I cannot get signal lock on any H/L

i was able to get them on my dreamlink t5 both on 82 and 91, but nothing with the jynxbox (91)

power supply should be 12v 2a correct? i might try a 12v 3a switched power supply. i also have a few spare LNB's and a spare jb200 i will try.
