What torpainter was asking you is to upload the file needed to test DN and Bev or in other words the 3rd party file and a factory file.

I suspect there is a file. Sometimes suppliers hand out demo boxes to get some feedback from testers and they are usually asked to test the unit and file but not post the file.
The reason for that is if there is a glitch in the file that could potentially harm a box they do not want it out in the wild.

I am sure if it is like all there others it will have freezing problems. Won't go down that road again.I know I will never buy a nanosat receiver again. Maybe if they could fix there freezing issues with there files. But they have yet to to that with there sd receivers so why would the HD be any different?. For the little more money I will get one that runs great.

I am thinking the same way. Might either try scrounging up an Nfusion HD as the one I have now works great on DN (haven't tried BEV yet), or possibly the Dreamlink T5. I have not heard too much negative on the T5. I think they fixed the constant burning out of parts problem in the T4...correct me if I am wrong.

#1tiny - out of curiosity, with your nanosat, do you ever get that crazy machine gun sound when it freezes sometimes. That pretty much made me retire that box. Scared the hell out of me a few time when watching a movie with the volume up a bit.

That happens to all of the Nanosat's, was an alarm feature to let you know it was frozen... ;-)

That's without the module. You can try Leesat which has the module already installed or just use it for true fta.

I would have to agree. They are testing a beta file at the moment so a bit of patience would be advised.

well the main question on this new box is not about the BIN, is the hardware did the timing issue get fix in this new model....if is like their previous models is 100% garbage.... i would wait until theirs a few out their running and we can get positive feed back. remember they were not able to figure it out.

Totally disagree with you and this is not the receiver bashing thread so watch your words. My nano premium has been working solid for almost 4 years now and it's still one of my mains.

Hutch is correct as it was an opinion that was being expressed. The ls module is gives the receiver the capability of opening turbo 8psk channels like those on dn and bev.

The point was the price over double similar equipment. Not exactly the same equipment but similar manufacturing costs. The Nano doesn't come with Turbo HD from the mfr. There's more profit margin in tuner add on capable boxes.

quick overview of the nano HD and current beta file which has some issues when it comes to scanning and epg population, very reminisance of the way the jynx scans and how it was when first released, the menus are straight forward and easy to navigate, the epg is layed out well and looks very good imo...better than most, the pic is excellent, great color and sharpness, the unit does have Display Setting option with brightness, contrast and saturation settings you can adjust, receiver only runs slightly warm, 5 server slots available, no issues with more than one server active or switching between north and south , there is a slight delay sometimes for pic and audio, no freezing or disconnects...runs solid, the epg needs work, many areas need fixing, south you will get now and next but it's hit and miss when it comes to re-populating, a soft reboot will give you now and next epg again, the north is spotty at best and needs major attention, what does populate you can view info with no problem, you can change channels in the epg and not lose the current channel you are on, when you select a channel in the epg the only way out of the epg is to press exit as opposed to double tapping the ok button, the recall button brings up a list of the last 10 previous channels viewed but only displays channel names not the previous ch numbers, another area to be fixed, receiver has a front display showing ch number and time in stand by (military time only) along with a usb port behind the flip down door and another usb port is located in the back of receiver as well, the remote works great but the layout is awkward and not user friendly, current remote is to be replaced by a different model from what I'm told, receiver does have a wifi option, the youtube option is only available with the factory file, couldn't say if it will ever be added to third party files, I can see where some will have issues with different lnb's and switch configurations as I had a hard time getting a solid lock and scan after several attempts and trying different settings used along with different scanning options, can't say for sure as only tried on one set up consisting of dual legacy lnb's using 4x4 22khz switches combined with diseq switches and never had an issue using this set up with other receivers, current beta file needs work but nothing I see that can't be fixed and as is right now it can be used as far as watching tv, no problems at all with that aspect, first file to be released soon, it was supposed to be released last weekend but was told once the epg works better and most kinks corrected within the epg it will be released, if support is good than the nano HD might change some peoples minds when it comes to the nano brand if in fact it is even the same group behind the nano HD, the nano HD is working great and has an amazing pic which is one of the most important things imo, time will tell as it always does...

They or at least the premium box was a good receiver and still holds on very strong. What support do you need? An 800 number on how to load a bin and enter server info?

ya, had to set it to All Satellite and there is a sort by SID option, very close to the way the jynx is if you are familiar with that receiver

Some freezing but not bad like other nano boxs I have had it running for a week now and just two days that it would frezz a couple times per hour for 2 seconds but nothing as of now

Are both boxes running the same server and if so are they both on at the same time? If it is the same server then swap the server info with the boxes and run them side by side. If your freezing goes to the Jynx then you know it's a port issue server end or could be a network issue at yours.

Just had a look and was surprised to see Sonicview is still manufacturing receivers. It appears this receiver could actually be coded by Soncivew. Costactc, I think for true fta and blindscan you need to use dvb-s2 tuner. At least what is my experience with other receivers. 8psk tuner is good for dik and bev.

Well if a product is being introduce and is not fully tested, you would think the manufacturer would want to safeguard themselves by not releasing the BIN file to the public until its tested. You don't want to release a product to the public then having to recall thousands if not millions.. I read in a forum that it should be released today.. Lets hope.

i'm testing the file it still need work. scanning is a pain i think what is needed is a updated tp file since the one in this file is from may, lots of transponders now coming in with any signal, ones that i know are working on other boxes.

It's not complicated at all. You will see the section that matches up with your tuner and just push it in. I have a laptop cooling fan just in case it over heats but it doesn't seem to.

Don't listen to everything you hear, scan channels after all the above is done and you will be good to go. I have had no issues scanning channels just the epg needs to be addressed on my end.

Ok....Got it running but the guide is horrible unless I set something wrong.....The channel numbers are all out of order...140 is now 72 or something like that....
Also, cannot find where the renumbering is so the north and south channels don't bang into each other....Am I missing it somewhere?
Also, have a small buzzing or 'hum' on certain channels with the home theatre hooked up....only on a few channels tho.
The pic is awesome tho, but the guide needs lots of work....Back to my SE until they get it fixed....But will be nice once the guide works.

Actually got the guide in order.....Have to sort manually but still cant get north and south in the same guide like the SE but am sure that's in the works. HD pic is great and SD is better then my SE.

Just noticed also that some TP's wont get signal (but I do with my SE) like most of the H TP's on 110....such as 12297 which has a lot of PPV movies. Wondering if it is a bug in the file or maybe just picky with the switch I have outside...Chieta diseq.

All TP's on 119 and 91 work well.

It took me a while before I realised that CAPITAL letters can't be used, only lowercase.

Check your server info....worst case scenario would be to factory default, rescan and insert server info.

Make sure you start from server 1 do not use server 0. Server type is newcamd, URL is your server's IP or domain name, after entering use blue button on remote to save. After entering *user* use blue button again to save, do the same for password. Newcamd Client ID is GENERIC. Key Data start from start or far left if there's extra 0's at end it doesn't matter, then go down and press OK on connect. It's the same server settings as a I-Link 9800HD and very similiar to a Linkbox Local.

oh, I know,lol...just trying to give peeps some insight as to what works and what doesn't...on another note, the next file (official first release) should have the epg fixed along with a few other bugs, at least that's what I was told, if the nano team fixes the epg at least for now the receiver stands a chance in a receiver market that's getting competitive once again with more and more new HD receivers being introduced, lots to choose from right now and more to come and the brand with the best working receiver all around will gain the most, simple as that so if the nano HD wants to be a player they will need to address a few things and take members feedback and implement changes the public wants to the best of their ability, as it stands the receiver works well and can be used immediately with no freezing or disconnects, the nano HD has some very good positives going for it with pic quality in HD and SD at the top, decent looking guide,easy to navigate menus, wifi ready, have not fully tested the pvr but straight up recording works fine, if someone is on the fence about purchasing a nano HD I would wait and see what happens with the next file released and what kind of support team is behind it, only time will tell as it usually does...

It barely populates at all for me on North or South but I know it will get better. Hopefully soon as I do want to hook it back up...The pic is great.

If your watching the South to populate the guide reboot the receiver with the remote and it fills in pretty good, thing is it will go mostly blank after about an hour just reboot again and it will fill in. If you go from North to South or vice versa reboot to fill in the guide. The North 91W is a bit better than 82W which is terrible. Another thing you can do is delete a bunch of channels that you dont get with your $ps anyway and it works better.

imo the pic quality is better in HD and much much better in SD compared to the sonicview and there are no overheating issues having the receiver on 24/7, warm to the touch but no where near hot, no fan with receiver

This receiver has same quality of picture SD and HD as I-Link 9800HD or Linkbox Local HD. The Limesat Air, Limesat Max HD and I-Link 9600 Hd had good quality picture also. Much better than Dreamlink T5 which was a major disappointment, Jynxbox Ultra, Sonicview 8000, Viewsat 9000HD etc.

For me it's the little things I like about this box. I love the small remote and the location of the buttons on it. Also nice is not having to put in a code just to get to the server menu. The picture is just as beautiful as EVERY new box out right now. It might be me but I think the SD looks better than the Linkbox (I have one in other room). A new TP list would be nice. Lastly, this box had no trouble connecting to wifi while all other boxes in the house are extremely tempermental. Overall I'm happy.

So you have these two receivers and have looked at the motherboards to see if the components are all the same LOL. I know a Linkbox Plus file will not work in a I-Link 9800 which is closer to being a Nano HD than the Linkbox is.

Just dont change the last 2 keys.. should remain 00... Make sure your Ethernet connection is setup properly.. I had that disconnect problem before I found out it was the ethernet causing it.. user info should be lower cases.. gl

Possibly you are using a switch that need to be set correctly to the right sats.. I did not use the Dishpro LNB setting, I used 11250..

Go to MENU>>>EDIT CHANNEL>>>TV CHANNEL LIST>>>EDIT>>>>SORT>>>>SERVICE ID, HIT OK, then you can return to guide all should be sorted in order.. 200 201 202 etc also make sure your time zone settings is correct..

Can I just type this info in again after doing a factory reset? I'm very reluctant to experiment as the person who did my programming and install isn't the best at getting back to me with the info I'm looking for.

Where would I get the BIN file? This was set up by someone else. I have my nfps info and other than that, I don't know anything else.

Here you can find the factory file http://www.satfix.net/forumdisplay.php?1537-nano-HD-factory-files you also need the bin file ... do a factory reset after you load both files..

Yes you need to download the Bin file also its in the same section as the factory file. .. When loading Bin make sure its set to all code +boot..

Ok. Loaded the zip file, reset factory. When scanning, it's coming up with the numbers and not the names. Which part did I mess up? 20551

Yep. Really screwed it up.
Noticed I didn't pick the all code + boot option.

Did that, now I'm not showing 129/119/110 at all. Only W settings.

don't panic.. the great thing is you can load it again...this time with all code...I did the exact same thing the first time...is this the factory bin 105? Load that 1st...factory reset load bin 297 ..factory reset.. voila everything will be good

I did the 105 first and then boom. Death

I added the 297 and it seems I'm up and running. Just doing the scan now.

My main problems are the PPV channels. I've never had any load for me.
