if your dish is only up for decoration...no... lol... seriously... when I switched from cable tv it would not work until I replaced some old 59 with new good 6 cable & then... Shazam... satellite TV...read this thread...http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php...25#post1060125 so your answer would be yes it makes all the difference in the world & if you did not completely unplug your receiver when you connected your switch then that may be fried too... no working switch could cause your problem... bad connections/rust &/or water can put you down...receivers are signal hogs so they will choose the route with the least resistance... make sure your dish is grounded also or take a bigger risk of frying all or part of your system in a storm.

So the saga continues..... I found this pick, is this correct???
I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but I am determined to figure this out!
I have decided to go back to BEV for now. Apparently Nimiq was easy to find, not like that darn 119.... lol. I thank everyone who took the time to help so far. I will keep trying, and I will keep you updated. In the meantime, if anyone else has any ideas, don't hesitate to post. Thanks again![]()
