One more question, what other receiver works on north bird other than Dreamlink for testing purpose these days??? Easy to setup, cheap to buy.
Need to check or ask the seller about that y-yoke pictured. Looks to be a y-yoke designed for a single and not that quad Opera Snapshot_2018-05-27_162019_www.ebay.com.jpg. Maybe a stock picture just for reference but be worth checking before you purchased...your call.
Again if your friend only wants to point at "ONE" north Bird with a single LNB
A legacy single with dual outs (2-ports) hooked to a 3x4 switch would be easy
Thanks for pointing that out guys! Hell, that maybe why it’s so cheap...![]()
Thanks,
All my old legacy singles have dual outputs, good for two receivers without any switches but a 3x4 switch could control up to four receivers off that one lnb?
Switch could be inside, out of the weather. He can just run two cables from the dish and go from there.
I will explain this to him.
Is there a drawing of this somewhere or simple like 1&2 off one cable and 3&4 off the second cable?
Thing is he needs a pan anyway and I’m just wondering if the quad switching isn’t better than the 3x4 switch’s. The ones I remember were like 100 bucks, too much. Edit: I see them on fleabay for like 15 bucks (terk 3x4 multi switch)
I think the dreamlink handles most switching alright but what do I know, I always used a motor for fta.

Legacy stuff, switches anyways work off 13volt and 18volt switching, so that (terk 3x4 multi switch) you saw on fleabay
would work fine, 2-cables from LNB to switch, one to 13v, and one to 18v, there is a extra port on the switch (3-in total) that is
for a outdoor antenna, The 3x4 is setup for one Sat/Bird, out to as many as 4-receivers.
Hope this makes sense, for your friend that only wants to point at "ONE" north Bird
We should also point out that if your friend wants to hit more than 1 sat he will need a dish that skews (turns like a steering wheel) in order to grab 2 sats, if not he will need to set up a "poor mans dish" and need 2 single lnb's and a hose clamp to off-set the lnb's to grab 2 sats. Below are some pic's you asked for.........
