Who remembers where and what you were doing when you heard of these attacks?
was finishing a roofing job by doing the detached garage
old guy next door came over mumbling about planes and paid no attention until I realized htz fm wasn't playing any music
told my guys to tarp it up and we went to my neighbourhood bar to watch cnn
apparently the garage had the wiring stapled to the underside of the roof
we went back next day and I told the customer you owe me a new tarp...lol
ended up getting the contract to build a new garage![]()

I was just setting up on a old Victorian house for tear off and reside new windows and wraps.
we dropped off our ladders planks and brake and went to the bar and watched wtf was going!
I hope this never happens again...
But if we have open boarders they wont have to do this.. MFKRS

I was at work, it was still somewhat dark.....went through the lot checking trailers.
Came into the office and couldn't believe what i was seeing. Sad, now i never look at a plane going over without thinking.....
That changed everything in air travel, and much much more.
got to see the snowbirds a few times this afternoon and a bomber

I think for me what kept me watching wasn't so much the tragedy of the terrorists attack, but the uncertainty of what would happen next.Took awhile for it to really sink in.
I was at work, listening to the radio, the news came on, and the guy telling the news, made it sound like it was just an accident, he didn't know at the time, as all of us didn't. As the morning went on the newscasts became much more grim. Was a very bad day for all of America, us up here in Canada as well.. They will all be remembered always.
I remember hearing it on HTZ FM , but I remember the following days after the 18 wheelers were lined up on the QEW at the peace Bridge for miles and miles waiting to get in to the states, them they started parking them at the fort erie race track on the huge lots they have there with the red cross supplying all those truckers with food and water for probably a week if i remember right. i won't forget that day ever
I was crossing the Windsor/Detroit tunnel almost everyday back then - I always listened to Howard Stern on FM 97.1 - as I got out of the tunnel on the US side Howard was talking about this plane that hit the North Tower - he was thinking it was just a freak accident...........but then the second plane hit. When I got to the office my partner didn't have clue what was going on.... we sat and watched/listened all day long...........
Stern and his studio were just a couple of miles from the Towers and could see the inferno from their studios.............I didn't have the visuals of the first impact because it was radio ...... but something I will never forget...........

all i think of when i think of 9/11 is all the facts how the building came down due to controlled explosions not from the plane
and how people don't talk about that part too.
then how all the heroes who helped all the victims and then suffered lung issues and the government didn't help most of them
what a cruel world
wish it never happened.
