    The steep takeoff and landing was done to cut down noise over cities.

    Just look at the map on the flight tracker website. It's unbelievable how many aircraft are in the air at any given time.

    (The steep takeoff and landing was done to cut down noise over cities. ) And this from an ATCT person, those guys when i asked to cross a runway were always confused, your where? and want do do what?
