I am wondering if there is a way to get rid or turn off this message each time i turn on my xrs 4900 , started doing this recently and the msg appears for at least 1 to 2 min before the box or any input is allowed to be used . Running on wifi![]()

you mean when you boot your box? what version do you have? I have not seen this issue because I keep mine as suspend. so one click box goes to live tv. but last few days I have it disconnected because testing between other buzz devices. I will hook up 4900 soon to test and verify. but I would say why dont you keep on suspend mode? i will post once I get a chance because other boxes occupied my tvs and they are being used for now.![]()
I never put mine on suspend and I don't have this issue
I did see it once or twice in the past but it went away
Try clearing cache and closing running apps
As Ryu requested, what version of s/w are you running ?
From the updates screen, what is the firmware and buzztv version installed on your box ? Just trying to see if there is truly an outstanding OTA for the box.
I have my Tv , soundbar and box connected to a plug that connects to a wall switch so at night i power down each night with a fresh start each day . I am thinking there may be a timeout between when box is first on than delay to connect via wifi and during the downloading msg , my Temperature display fires up after this msg appears .Maybe i am expecting to much 😂 at first boot
I am wired on all my boxes so can't really say. But, I do recall on one of my old boxes (my E1), which I gave to my mom not long ago, the WiFi did take a few seconds to connect. I had set the LiveTV to auto start, but that was causing issues (asking to choose server), since it would "try" to connect, when no connection was yet available, and it assumed it was a server error. So I just removed the auto-start and told mom to just wait till the WiFi icon went "white" before launching live TV. It is not long, it is about 4 or 5 seconds however.
If you temporarily change your home screen to anything other than the "BuzzTV Modern", you will have the WiFi icon on the main home screen, which would allow you to confirm if you are actually connected to WiFi by the time the 4900 finishes booting, and if not, how long it takes for it to connect. But it is obviously not normal that you get a "downloading message" all the time. I unplug many of my boxes (since I swap between boxes for certain testing), and I don't see that. I have 2 xrs4900 and neither of them has that issue.
Did you try clearing the cache for BuzzTV 5, and some system apps, like "BuzzTV System Updater" and "OTA Updater". Actually for the System apps (the last 2 I mentioned), you can probably do a full "clear data".
Let us know what you have listed in the Updates screen for Current firmware version and Current IPTV version.
