    Default Won't turn on

    Bought this XRS4900 a year ago May. I put it away when I purchased an X5 to test. Pulled it out today and it won't turn on. The red light comes on. I tried the original remote, an X5 remote and the Harmony One remote that was programmed for it. No luck. Did the toothpick thing in the AV port. I contacted Buzz and their answer was it's DOA. I was surprised that they didn't give me any suggestions, just said to purchase a 5 series box. Sounds like customer support is not as good as it used to be!!! Any suggestions???

    Good call Dishuser. Hopefully that's the issue. I have been trying the x5 one. I'll have to find the original one.

    x5=5 volt
    4900=12 volt

    You're lucky you didn't go the OTHER way (12v to 5v stb).You would be needing some new hardware.

    That’s the way Dishuser is, he really knows his voltages.
