    Default Dreamlink HD no signal

i recently got my hands on a new to me dreamlink HD, previous owner had used it with a sw21 setup. I was unable to get the receiver to work on my DP or my DPP dish it would not lock signal. I tried removing the HD module and it would not lock onto 91 either. I have no spare power adapter, the one that came with is an aftermarket, 12V 3.5A I have another chance to get another dreamlink HD, this one also has not been tested with DPP or DP setup, surely it has to work, the menu has the lnb type listed. I tried by setting lnb to ocs dp, set it to input one on diseq sw setting and 82 to input 2, also tried with 82 on port 1 and 91 on port 2, no lock on signal looking for help please and thank you

Have you set the LNB frequency to 11250??

What was it originally used for?? Satellite or IPTV?

Has your dish hardware worked before, or is it a new installation?Good S/Q means it's "talking" to the lnb at least. Is it possible it's aimed wrong, or at the wrong sat?

dishes have not moved in years, my viewsat 9000 gets 91 it use to get 82 till my sk200 quit last week

my sonicview 8000 get 91 and 82 just this model has a choppy picture on HD, known issue with this ird

my jynxbox use to get 91 and 82, jb200 no good in it now

if i could get a sk200 i could just use my old viewsat, i was told auggie may have, i sent a pm

i removed the HD module and was unable to get a lock on 91, the power adapter is a 12V 3.5A, does not look original, maybe its not giving enough juice?

Those DP & DPP LNB's have a built-in switch, so I would take the SW21 out of the picture, and hook-up Direct to receiver
In dish settings LNB Type=OCS-DP LNB Frequency=11.250 everything else set to OFF except Legacy SW= SW21-1 or SW21-2
THE only other setting you might have to play-with (on/off) is LNB 22KHZ=on/off ?
all this is provided that your Dish is pointed & locked on to the Proper Sat. and hasn't moved etc.

P.S. in dish settings LNB Power has to be "ON"

The sat cable to the receiver which port do you have it hooked up too TOP or Bottom ?
has to be hooked to top port on receiver.

    I believe a SW21 is a legacy switch, and doesn't work with DP DPP LNB's ?

i do not have a sw21 in use, the person i purchased from used this receiver with a sw21 setup, i am trying to use with my DP or my DPP, that works with my sonicview and viewsat, they have same settings for dish setup, only diff they get signal

    my setup is,

    lnb power - on
    lnb type - ocs dp
    lnb frequency - 11.250
    lnb 22KHz - off
diseqc sw 1.0 - 91 is on port 1 82 is on port 2 (i also tried swapping these)
    diseqc sw 1.1 - off
    legacy sw - off

i tried removing the hd module to see if it would lock on 91, it does not, i tried various transponders

this receiver shows full red bars for s&q never turns blue though, i have a chance to purchase another dreamlink hd, it has been also used with a sws21, i just want to make sure it works with DP and or DPP LNBs before i purchase, as this one i will not be able to return

Well...if that same sat dish hardware worked as is with another receiver,it's safe to assume it should work with the Dreamlink.I would
start from scratch by deleting/reinstalling the software & start over.

    Maybe it's a defective receiver

By chance could it be a Power supply/adapter issue, being that the DP & DPP are Power Hogs
and the adapter is not supplying enough power to the receiver to feed them.
