I think you need to make sure your settings are absolutely perfect for your setup but beyond that........did the DL come with the old power supply? if so that's most likely the problem.

it came with a generic adapter, 12V3.5A receiver says it needs 12V3A

can someone suggest a replacement from amazon please and thank you, if new adapter dont work i am returning the receiver

also, for an update, i got my hands on a regular non dish pro lnb, confirmed i have signal on a old pansat, locked to 91, dreamlink gets nothing, just shows full red bars, i also removed the hd module, with it out the red bars didnt even show, and yes i changed my settings from DP to single lnb settings

    would this work

That's good trouble shooting. If not the power supply,it's a doorstop stb.I would still try software though.Doesn't cost a thing & freshens it up at the very least.

That would depend on what Model you have Dreamlink HD or a T-4/5 each take different Files/software.
I believe you have the HD model, if so you would grab the Latest Bin/rom file in the Dreamlink HD files section
put it on a USB flash drive & load it on the receiver by way of the Menu on the receiver under the Utilities heading
"Data Transfer" The usb drive has to be formatted first to Fat32 before you put the file on it, and the file is compressed
in a zip or rar container, which has to be uncompressed first (winrar, winzip) before you put on the usb drive.
Hopefully other members here will chime in and direct you further if I have Missed something etc.

You want a 12v 4-6amp power adapter for the Dreamlink to operate correctly, the original ones that came with the box
are a KNOWN PROBLEM (failing, not enough amp/voltage to the receiver) they were Junk.

One like this will do the job: hxxps://www.amazon.ca/Meiyue-UL-Listed-Transformer-Connector-5-5x2-1mm/dp/B0BTYKL51B/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=3INOPQGI1ZR20&keywords=12v%2B 4%2Bamp%2Bpower%2Bsupply&qid=1698348947&sprefix=12 v%2B4amp%2B%2Caps%2C787&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

You could splice the connector from the old to the new...don't mix up the polarity though.
