It will only last as long as their ability to pull data from the cards does.No one knows how much longer for sure.

Already talked to a little birdie that told me we're are in good shape as of now if you have SV HD , NF HD OR JBox HD . The card reader is easily upgradeable to read the new card info and already has from what i've been told . From what was said we have at least 3 yrs before it goes all streaming ! Just what i've been told ! How true time will tell.

if your remote is acting up with no button function ,crack it open with a butter knife and clean the oil off the contacts with a Qtip and rubbing alcohol. oil from the rubber leaches onto contacts.

Isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean rubber, but it can cause the rubber to deteriorate if used regularly
Cleaning rubber with rubbing alcohol from time to time shouldn't be an issue, it will eventually cause rubber to deteriorate.

Is there a difference to the contacts?
