Dreamlink T5 software alteration?

Got the spare T5 from squirtNcider yesterday - thanks a bunch. I'll keep y'all updated here as I poke at it over the weekend. Going to try to start by dumping the bootloader and firmware and see if I can make anything of it.

totally lost, way beyond me so i will admit i will be the lazy one and hope someone figures it out, if i had any clue what you guys are trying to do i would help but thank you a million times to all that are trying so hard to help fix this and to all that have done so for many years, i knew it was "pay your money and take your chances" and yes we are all upset when it seems over but like many have said it has been great so again a BIG THANK YOU!

Got super super busy with work, haven't had much chance to look at this yet.

I did discover that the EEPROM on the board contains pretty much nothing, I'm pretty sure it just tells the CPU where to start loading from the flash chip... I pulled the flash chip off the board, but I'm waiting for an adapter to come for that chip to work with my flash reader. After that, we'll see what's on it and if it can be modified in any way...

Well, I think we've hit the result that I was kind of expecting from the start - I can't read the chip. I don't know why. Maybe there's something wrong with my programmer; maybe there's something wrong with the Chinese adapter that took 2 months to arrive; maybe I destroyed the chip while desoldering it. I'm really not sure, but I'm betting on the latter. If somebody else who's handy at hardware can get a copy of the software from the flash and send it to me, I'd still be happy to look at it, and maybe even invest money into getting a blank chip or 2 to program for experimentation, but as it goes right now, I've just got nothing to work with. Sorry for the anticlimactic end to this little thread, but I figure a sad update is better than no update.

Sonicview 8000HD , NfusionHD , Junxbox or Jynxbox . Thats the only stb's that i know that are working but i am sure there is more if you do some research.

The Mega TV box also works but with it's own issues that are easy to overcome.
