I literally just plugged it in... straight outta the box with a fan on top... possible no good from the factory ?....you have a link for a new one ?

I would imagine that's your problem then.

pretty flaky network hardware ... the one I have the ethernet port is dead but the wireless connection works, it kicks out quite often and requires a reboot to get it working again ...

so I often see a black screen or a frozen screen with audio playing in the background

sometimes I have to go back into Menu and Wifi Manager and turn wifi back on ... no idea why it disables itself but that's happened more than a few times

edit:
when you are on a channel you can press the info button on the remote and it will show you which server you are connected to ... it's right under the channel number ... if it says Free or Wait then it's not connecting to a server

Turns out the Ethernet port is dead, but it works on WiFi....thanks for all the info guy(s)...much appreciated....now is there any way to fix the port or just stick with the WiFi ?

Probably not worth the Hassle, if wifi works stick with that. Welcome to the Clone Boxes etc.

No difference where you buy them, they are a Known Problem (Heat issues) for heat build-up etc.
You have to have Cooling Measures inplace (Fans) sucking hot air out & directing cooler air in over the Module
and the other components to keep them COOL, I have a set of USB Powered fans that sit on top of ALL the boxes
I use keeping them Nice & Cool no Heat Issues. IMO you Shouldn't be running/operating "ANY" Receiver/Box etc. with-out
Cooling Measures inplace.
