I use VLC sometimes, but it does not work with some of our VOD movies and gets stuck with spinning orange triangle

Also, I keep Stream Format in: AUTO because some services like PlutoTV and others will only work in HLS otherwise black video

yea its weird because when we lose the channel now, if you go to menu/settings/account info its blank, like we lost communication with the server, but no message indicating loss of stream. This is a new symptom noticed recently where account info is not traceable.

Yes, I saw it a few days ago but sometimes during a freeze the saccount info is still there. Other times a message pops up no stream avail. Different scenerios at different times.

No one is here to impress you. You don't like it and have something better to move to, then go ahead, no one is stopping you.

You have probably have no clue how huge the backend of these systems are, and all the resources that go into maintaining the daily functionality. This is not just your home windows machine that took a crappy update from microsloth, and now is lagging. Trying to scale is not always easy. Even the best intentions can sometimes have unexpected outcomes.

Been with Sat1982 for many years and only clouds stopped the IKS feed and occasional short term outages. Now with fibre, only occasional blips and then usually a popular channel probably with overwhelming connects.

Well can't comment directly on this issue you raised, but do you think there are no issues with subscribing/streaming directly with services like Netflix, HBO Max, and Paramount + for some examples? go take a subscription with Paramount + on your Amazon Fire Stick. Oops, you can't watch a bunch of their video content.

You get error code 6013. Clearing the cache, force stop, uninstalling, and reinstalling do nothing. Finally, if you're lucky with Googling, you find the crapy solution. You have to reduce your resolution from 2160p-60hz to 1080p-60hz.

At the end of the day, this is simply the way the cookie crumbles. When things are good, they're great. of course it sucks to have to deal with issues, but isn't out of the norm for this type of service. I’ve know sat9182 since maybe as far back as 1999 when I first tested H cards and old Nagra rom2 cards and he’s always been very

Unfortunately when you live this far south (SoCal), you can’t get a signal lock anymore from 91 or 82; thus even with the decrypted Control Words from IKS, you still get no video.

Unless there’s a way to get BEV HD channels from the 91 bird this far south, but at the time HD was only 82 bird.

Too bad I had a sweet setup: modified WRT54G router with a converted VIP622 in BEV 9242 and a 6000 /811 IRD with a 40” antenna, but it’s been many years ago we had signal lock from Bev

But when they switched to MPEG-4 encryption of HD channels they also implemented spotbeam technology in their 82 bird

That killed IKS overnight in SoCal and thus I think that’s why there’s no IKS South servers only North

Did I missed something regarding getting the BEV signal this far south: San Diego??

Had it for years here also. Fibre went in a year ago but just put Bev LNB in recycle this week. Dish is a bird feeder. Agreed. Less noise more aplaude.
Service has always been more stable than most others and yes waiting for new bins SUCKED.

I have seen the XCIPTV app do this before after an outage. Try going from the app home screen to settings, then update contents it will usually pull in the information. Using the update button directly on the home screen of the app does not always work, for some reason.

Was in a panic this morning. Two of my friends called this morning as they both could not connect. Both are on XRS4500 boxes.
After a chat with them find out both they boxes were upgraded last night and the upgrade defaulted to wifi off.

System looks great today.

Just a little heads up for those using some buzz boxes (possibly others).

On my U5, I was going through my "favorites" and saw many streams were not working. Found it odd, since they worked on my other boxes. Then I realized that the channel list was not updated (guess it was cached and did not trigger a refresh), since I noticed a channel in one of the categories that I know was dropped. Did a "refresh" from the menu, and all the streams now work.

So if you have a lot of streams that are not streaming, ensure to do a refresh before assuming it is the server.


BTW: Not a big deal considering all the previous instabilities, but "CA: Cooking channel" is streaming the "US: Cooking channel" stream.

Just got on tonight to see how things were going and see that live tv (hallmark channels, Fox news and a few others) and TV series (Blue healer) are buffering quite a bit.
Running Classic over starlink as well as over local isp which both look clean.
Checked both auto and hls for format
Checked primary and backup

Is the system still having some issues?

I run 2 firesticks at the same with wicked so I assume buzz box will be fine as well and I take them on the road all the time

As long as you are using XC Login API, YES!!!! It allows for up to 2 simultaneous connections (there are even 4 and 6 connection options for a cost obviously, but 2 is the basic).

If you are using MAC, then it is only 1.

And yes you can take your box anywhere you want. I have a friend who is a snowbird and goes south for the winter and always brings his boxes with him.

There are presently 2 channels for the QC/French language channel LCN.
CA: LCN HD and FRCAN: LCN HD


It is a very popular channel amongst French speaking Canadians. I assume both channels are presently using the same source, since both have audio/video out of sync for a little while now (even before the latest issues we had).

I suspect issue is probably at source, since it is out of sync on some other services also. But there are others where it is perfectly in sync (so there are obviously other sources out there).
If wicked has another source available, would it be possible to at least switch one of the 2 channels, to have 2 different sources ?

Actually earlier today it was down for XC (user/pass) also. It is back up now.
I messaged sat about it this afternoon.

I figured it might be needed by some this weekend and I am sure some ISP will use this as an opportunity to test some new blocking/throttling options to annoy users.

If you have an STB (BuzzTV or otherwise) go to the menu and hit refresh and it should show up.

Some boxes take longer to force a refresh and work off the cache until it "expires". So you need to force the refresh.
If using another app, you can always go into the Android app settings and clear the cache.

It was not telco, since I did try 3 VPN locations first US (New York), France, and Canada (West) and no joy. Switched to Greece, and at first it didn't work. Then all of a sudden it did.. Disconnected VPN and from service, then reconnected and still good.

I can confirm that the panel never went down. I refreshed the panel a few times and many of my subs were changing channels even when I could not connect a new box.

This time, whatever it was, only affected the authentication server(s) gateway.

I have a friend that took his Buzz box to Taiwan with him and wife but forgot the remote. I told him to unplug box for 4-5 seconds then plug it back in. I think that will get the box to refresh list to get Super Bowl category since he can't select menu.

They are also on the hunt for a wireless keyboard/mouse combo to make the next six weeks easier. A keyboard will do most but not all Buzz box functions, enough to get by anyway. :comfort1:

Didn't go down here.. Wife has been watching all morning, and changing channels with no issues.

Keep in mind that many ISP will probably be actively testing blocking/throttling mechanisms today (call it the ECMs of IPTV if it makes it clearer). BE prepared to use a VPN client and/or use the alternate .live with https domain.

and 1 from stream1 this is not always the case but when
your panel is down the stream1 links will still work yes still work.

the 2nd link in url helper is from stream1 look it has no username/passwords
but the link is still attached to the sub.

Actually, now that you mention it, when I got in (after the small hiccup), I did do a refresh, since my PPV: UFC 1 and 2 feeds were not streaming. After refresh, they worked fine.. And so did the SB category.

Time for load balancers to do their job now :) We'll see how it goes. Cross fingers..

Stream still holding well.. Just noticed that other sites and services are starting to report issues.. Even the thetvapp web site just came to a crawl and is non-responsive.

Just minutes before the start, where people could not log in, it was a nail biting moment. But it got fixed quickly and it was solid after that. I watched it also from beginning to end also (NY feed), and it was flawless.

Hell, at that moment at the beginning, I even tried going to the popular "tvapp" web site (Which I had mentioned in a previous post), and their super bowl stream was buffering badly, and 30 seconds later, their site crashed.. Took nearly an hour before they came back up.

My son and I got a good laugh at the beginning of the halftime show, where it looked like Usher was trying to imitate MJ with the one white glittery glove and practically trying to do the moonwalk on stage :)

I don't want to speak too soon.... but looks like VOD is back up :thumbsup: And honestly, it starts pretty damn quick (no more waiting for a few seconds for movies to start).

And TVseries seem to be up to date. Even many of last night's premieres are already online :) And spot checked a few from earlier in the week and so far, all there. Sweet.


PS: If i can make 1 request for addition of one TV series, can you add "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" ? No need for all 10 previous seasons, but Season 11 starts on Feb 18.. Maybe from Season 11, going forward ? :) Anyhow, if you can, great. If not, there are always other sources I guess.

Is Tivimate EPG possibly cached ? Yesterday on one of my X5, I could not get any EPG. And I even tried deleting server and recreating. Cleared cache, cleared EPG, and nothing.

Wondering if the EPG server is down on occasion (possibly for maintanence).
