With what we had happen we are working to put the 129 channels back.. we had big internet issues on the server side and this is offshore so it take some time to sort out. the 110/119 should be fine have tested many channels.. and are working with lil to know freeze..

I agree with you in that you can't please everyone. However, when a PS puts out a channel list advertising this is all the channels you will get, then they (all channels listed in that list) should...

There is no sense in stretching the truth about all the channels you will get. Kinda like false advertising. :tehe:

all the channels there we up before are always scheduled to come back. but the rub is. sometimes it takes a while for them to get put back up in the server. and sometimes even when we are close to bring them back up WHAM their goes another ecm. which brings us back to square 1.

There was a major ECM last month and it burnt many cards. All P$ are still recovering from it and are being careful this time.

I have a few p$ that i try out and they all stretches it but what I like most about satcom4 is that he treats you with RESPECT unlike fishyytv mods and he seems to try to get things fix when you have an issue..

I think most who have been in the game for awhile know thats its difficult to maintain a list with ecm's pending.. however when inquire about certain channels being up before you sent your donation and is told yes its up then after donating its not up then there is something wrong there .. call it what you may stretching lying w/e but it do happen .. when i started with pvt iks there was a truck load of channels open this was like prolly 2 yrs ago or more and after some ECMs those channels were never back up until today but such is the game .. u enjoy what u can get because it is what it is but dont think thats others have not given the truck load of channel list saying they are up because it has happen.. however as i said in post previously satcom4 have treated his customers with RESPECT unlike some (fishtytv) and have seek to correct issues when they occur and that I admire.. However right now im down and i hope to get a lil bit more consistency :)

all channel on that ;list was up at the time it was made by not me as I cant hit the 129 sat but by a fellow user her at fix... as to other point 118 was never even on the list as at the time I started to push the server here it was already off line with only few channel open I even posted it was not up and made it very clear in any pm, I sent what sats is up below is copy what I send all persons asking for info...

Nope, getting into a pissing match with me would not be wise.
Now if you read my post carefully I said were working.
Now read post 278 carefully. List was made by a member who has the service so obviously they were working and satcom4 confirms they were. Key word is were.
Now as I also said in my post there has been ecm's since that list was made which would render the list inaccurate. As mentioned you should take a channel list with a grain of salt and if ever in doubt about a channel being up that you see in a list then ask in the forum section for that P$. Someone will let you know if it is up or not.

We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour here folks.
It is simply a hobby and things happen beyond anyone's control.
Mud slinging back and forth solves nothing.
Now remember that obviously things may not be perfect with this hobby but is it in any hobby? Nope.

I think some of these whiners should try running a server for just one day ..... and see how they do .... most have no idea how hard it is to keep them up .....
Dish Network is gradually weeding out the strong from the weak ---- I have no idea why Dishnet is doing it this way - it doesn't make any sense to me - they are actually losing subscriptions from the small mom and pop shops running a private server ---- but I guess we will have to live with.
I think in the long run it will be cheaper for all of us ---- we will have a few giant servers with enough resources to take on Dishnet's attacks --- may the strongest survive :-)

There are a few good guys in here that will at least answer your questions and try to keep you up to date with what is happening with their service and from what I have seen I think satcom4 is one of the good guys

I will make sure to have the 110/119 up and ppv and then work to add the 129 hd stuff back... also will work on put some 118 on this and build it back to what you all have come to expect from me and my server TV101.... What I,m seeing happening on a lot of these new channels added is , NOI is try to connect ,channel #'s blinks from red to green and eventually the count down shows up, but on TV it just indicates "Service not available" and SUNs connected , but sometimes SUNs not connected,, something isn't right... Just more info for ya!!

Seems to me he is more stable than most - he always seems to be around to answer questions and always upfront when he has a problem and doesn't hide in the woods. From what I have read it seems like there is a problem with his main offshore server - so he is moving everyone over to an emergency backup server (tv102.tk) and I haven't seen any problem for the past hour.
I have been watch PPV 535 without one freeze - that is pretty unusual to have no freezing on a PPV movie on a backup server.

A channel list is not and I repeat not an advertisement of what is offered consistently. As a matter of fact the original channel list was composed by a satfix member and those were the channels he was getting at the time.

You do a great job of informing your customers Satcom4. I've been on several servers over the last couple of years. Instead of constantly saying the server is up check you equipment and then closing the thread all the time, you inform and even encourage people to PM you if they are having a problem. I have been rock solid with the channels I watch - I don't have HD - but I do have 118.7 and pick up a lot of international channels and 101TV has a lot to chose from.
I agree that a "Posts" count may not mean a lot - but sometimes it can mean everything. If a regular poster here at this site makes a comment then I usually pay attention - because I know if he is a sh*t disturber or is someone that is making an honest critique of a service. If someone has only made 2 or 3 posts and they seem to be extremely critical or positive then there is the possibility that there is an ulterior motive to their post :-)

There seems to be a few new negative posts in this thread with a low post count and from what I have seen they haven't been asking for help to solve their problem. Could it be that some other resellers of a different service are registering a new account and posting negative posts about this service??

So far it seems to be the best bang for the buck from what I have seen - and I believe satcom when he says he has a few issues and is working on them. Most guys are never around when they have a problem - don't get discouraged satcom keep up the good work.

There have been some honest critiques of the service here and also some obvious trolls - both old and new posters - you just have to learn to ignore the trolls and help those that are really a client.

There should never be a channel list as no one can say for sure the channels that are going to be on. Just make the server the way it was promised and there will be no problem. If it is freezing and unwatchable then just say so. I have never seen a post to say it is fixed.

In all fairness to him he responded to my beef immediately and informed me he's working on the server as i type this. While he could have phrased that a little more tactfully i give him full marks for customer service. He also told me he'll be posting when he's completed tinkering.

I'm pretty solid on my standard def - but have a few channels missing - I don't test HD but my buddy said he is having a problem with those channels.

As everyone knows you are a relatively new service and having some growing pains - cudoos to you for hanging in there and trying to improve the service.
Considering the price - I can't see why anyone is complaining. I have tested pretty much every server offered here - I have paid some IKS services for one month for what I paid you 1 year - and you get top marks.

Right now I have 10 different IKS servers in the config file for my dreamboxes and I can switch back and forth between all of them. I know there are a lot of new servers being offered here - but I think you offer the best value for your money that I have tested so far. Keep up the good work satcom - some of these young bucks coming up are looking to take your spot in the limelight :-)

By the way I am now watching the replay of the Tigers game on FSN Detroit - vs - the Royals and I have not seen one freeze in the past hour.

Channels come and go for various reasons, the way iks goes. You didn't miss the game due to the p$, you missed it due to not having a legit way to actually view it. No p$ should be considered to be at the same level of a real sub, again, the way iks goes. If a channel is "needed" or so "important" I would suggest that you locate a way to get it legitimately so that you will not be without.

Please, I hope you are not another one those I am paying for a service and expect everything to be perfect folks. It really doesn't take much looking around to see that every server offers something then all of a sudden it has changed. That is the nature of the beast in this hobby from what I can see.
As for satcom4 providing great service it looks to me like he has gone out of his way pretty much all the time to please and help people. That is a lot more than I can say for some others.

If you are getting freezing tonight - I'm guessing you have an equipment issue. So far tonight it is pretty much running just like a legal sub on a Dishnet receiver on the channels I am watching.

as i posted before i have had many users to test and they are reporting lil to no frezz since i rebooted and completed the work and restarted the server yesterday around 9pm.. post the channel you have the frezz on also would also help to say what receiver your using and if you are using i.p. or domain name... i my self have been looking at chn-307 from the start space jam and it has not stop once.. before that was looking at 176 again same results also looked at 9420HD TNT and also no frezz

My 2 cents.

Have had 101 for about 3 days now.
I noticed I was able to receive around 3 XXX channels, and briefly tried the 500's no luck.
BUT on the main channels, I have had no glitches or freezes at all. maybe one for about 3 seconds in about 10 hours of viewing.

I was useing the "BIG TUNA" ( F*SH) for the last three months and it was nothing but freezes every 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm very happy with 101 so far.
