Guess it must be some ISP.

I just checked and all USA seem fine. But Canada is strange. CBC and CTV is fine. But then all Global are just spinning and black. Same for Discovery, discovery science and History canada. Turned VPN on and all is fine. Turned VPN off to ensue it wasn't just coincidence and the all go black/spinner.

EDIT: I just went through the whole canada list of channels and up to CTV Montreal all is good. Then rest of CTV channels are hit and miss, but after that, all the way to the end, I only found 1 channel that works (FRCAN: Super Ecran 1) :) Just in case that give a hint.

H2, OLN, FXX, CTV LIFE would be 4 examples that are not working for me if I'm not using a VPN, or set to Canada. However if I switch to CP24 or BRAVO, these two work fine. It must be something to do with just specific servers possibly being blocked by ISPs I guess.. Thanks for checking

i can confirm here in the states using a Canadian vpn shuts those channels down
whats interesting is that i have a server with the same channels i believe the same supplier
not having the problems. the server is not related to wicked that im aware of.

Even ran some tests with various VPN services (Windscribe, KeepSolid, and ProtonVPN free) and all worked flawlessly.

However with no VPN, there were a lot less channels affected tonight. I am "assuming" there was some re-balancing done on the proxy back end to minimize the impact from the sports channel blackouts, but that is just an assumption, since not as many channels were affected tonight, compared to last night.

Either way, VPN is now permanently enabled on my media boxes. Guess it is the new reality.

The blocking is not ALWAYS in effect. It is often in the evenings as soon as the hockey games start.
During the day, the channels are not being blocked (usually).

I think if you keep jumping on the second it goes back up you're just setting yourself up for stress once it goes down again.. whatever changes need to be done on the server, sounds like they're going to need a lot more than old database restores.. also may be a good idea to inform resellers they need to start locking by IP if needed to keep crackers out

I don’t think IPTV is for you…. And it’s not like it’s gone down and he’s disappeared, he’s constantly giving updates.

I always explain to my customers that IPTV is not 100% perfect, could be internet issues, server issues, whatever. If they want to complain sign up with a cable provider but even they are not 100% either otherwise realize the price difference and if things happen they happen.

Being in tech I understand how long these migrations and fixes can take and I appreciate all the efforts that Sat puts into keeping this service great!

Last year in Feb. I bought backups for myself and 15 friends. There was problems with this system , more than this year and much less than the backup service I have. Been around since the big dish and the most important facts here is our supplier is still here. That deserves a big thankyou.

And back in those days there was no subscription or guarantee with the P card or H card! If it lasted a week or 6 months it didn't matter; you just had to wait the for the next fix and pay again for it. The good old days hiding in IRC chatrooms sure seems like a lifetime ago.

Does your username have a special character in it?
mine did and we changed it with no character and boom it worked. Can’t explain it but all users I had that had special characters in the name worked after we removed them.

I think the Linux back end scripts don't interpret some of these special characters well. You often have to escape them "" to get then working as literal characters in scripts anyhow. Now I know and no longer use special characters.

“Cannot load portal failed to connect to wicked iptv….port: 25461”

Lol.. That's what happens when you have too many boxes to play with :)

I was in my office downstairs (finishing off a few reports) when I tested it, and I forgot that I had reconnected the xrs4500 (since I was doing some VPN testing) which is a little slower than my xrs4900 and x5 which I use primarily upstairs. Just checked on my 4900 in the bedroom and it is pretty instant.

Guess all the Basics are up and working fine. For for the next little while, it will probably be a little bit at a time (super panels, catch-up, mac subs, load balancing, odds and ends, etc..). Thanks for all the hard work. I know it is not easy having to bring this kind of stuff up in a rush. Never the way we plan it, and taking the decision to upgrade due to unfortunate circumstances is not fun either. But I'm sure it will be the best decision to ensure it goes forward and hopefully with a less "eventful" near future. Looking forward to seeing wicked rock again.

I found what caused sellers not to link under there super sellers just waiting on dev team to fix
no spaces in sellers name guys that's what caused it the script to stop putting them under a reseller it made it to the one with space then stooped
its a easy fix once the team runs the script
I could even do it my self lol but they working on other things at same time and i don't want to maybe mess what they doing up by running the sql commands & queries at same time

I have not tried adding a new user, but my xrs4500 has no issues connecting.

Have you checked the user/password ? Keep in mind they are now case sensitive on the new system. And you are using the correct portal URL and port ?

What I was told was to delete the portal and reinput it

quite possible you had mixed case in either username or password and now the user/pass is case sensitive.

Seems anyone with mac lines at the moment having concerns. It was stated in the past that it was being worked on. Not seeing a way to convert mac lines to user lines.

Is there still a way to convert MAC to XC username/password, and if so, is it safe to do with no side effects other than updating the box that is a MAC connection ? With all the stupid IPTV scanning I'm thinking username/pass might be the way to go as the MAC's are so much easier to scan for.. and country lock, if thats still a thing?

Is there still a way to convert MAC to XC username/password, and if so, is it safe to do with no side effects other than updating the box that is a MAC connection ? With all the stupid IPTV scanning I'm thinking username/pass might be the way to go as the MAC's are so much easier to scan for.. and country lock, if thats still a thing?

I think the mac to m3u converter was posted in this thread but if i were a paying customer

to scan for as a matter of fact some configuration files when scanning for mac based will give you an m3u
in most cases the m3u is fictitious unless it is allowed or paid for i think wicked allowed both.

the mac to m3u converter was developed by hackers but i would run open bullet
with Universal IPTV Scan as the config it will give you info like this

I have been trying to use the panel Tickets for any issues, but today, I can not submit one?
Any ideas? I get a "500 server error" when I try to submit.
