That Depends, what are you trying to do, if you are trying a re-scan then you want to do a "SAT SCAN"
1-SCAN for 91 1-scan for 82 Red button for each, also in the Installation heading go down to option & open it up
and make sure Auto CH/TP Update is turned "ON".

I’ve noticed this too, history channel, Fox News , cpac, ctv news not working, no signal. Tried rescanning but nothing.

I found on one receiver, if I changed TP 12253 and 12224 from SR 20000 to 21500 and Mode to TURBO from QPSK I get the channels back I lost. No rescan needed. But interesting, a scan of those TP's finds no channels, but the ones already there work. Maybe other TP's, but those are the 2 I noticed. But on another receiver (diff brand), that did not work. So I think TP's may be getting setup for HD from SD?

I believe they are changing them to MPEG-4 so you will need a hd box to get them even sd

they are up on hd provider ird boxed still in sd


there contract on Nimiq 4 at 82.0° is up and they may be moving stuf off it and making sd MPEG-4 and removing duplicates

this is purely a educated guess though

If you are using a Dreamlink T4-5 BAD or NO SIGNAL Usually means your Power adapter is Failing or the HD Module
That's if it was working good before & if your dish didn't move etc.

Have you changed anything since the Bad or no signal message, (dish moved, LNB crap out, etc.)
Also is it the original Power adapter that came with the Receiver ? If so it needs to be changed out to one that has more power
You need one that's 12v 4-6amp for the T5 to operate Properly, You can get them on Amazon, Princess Auto, Ebay, etc.
With that "ALL FTA BOXES" Need Cooling Measures installed (Fans) I have a set of USB powered Portable Fans that sit on top of "ALL MY BOXES" that I use keeping them nice & "COOL" No heat issues, which can be a Killer to the Cheap components that they install inside them.

Good news all channels are up. What I have done was a hard reboot, power off the stb, then unplug it,
and leave everything off for about 10 minutes. Then plug back in,turn on power, and you'll have channels back.

IF you are using a T5 & getting the Bad/No Signal message on TV, it is most likely your power adapter failing

People Take Note: DREAMLINKS ARE TOAST/DONE The receiver "CAN'T" Handle the changes that Bev is currently doing
and most likely continue to do Moving Channels Off of 82W To 91W, the box has NO provision for the changes in it's
Software/Firmware (UPDATES) Which is not going to Happen because !!NO SUPPORT LEFT!!

I gave my son 20 or so boxes a year or so ago, he sold to a local FTA shop for 5 bucks a box, bluejay, coolsats, sonic view, nfusions, jynxbox's {I wish I kept}, I'm stuck with 5 dreamlink T5s and one T4, they all become doorstops bud...but I am seriously still using a couple T5's for clocks...lol

Not sure if anybody Knows this but shortly after the Blackbird box, there was a BUZZ receiver (sat)
I know because my Buddy had one for a little while, it was around the same time as the First Sonicview that came out.

I considered that but I made the jump to IPTV....reluctantly, I'm still figuring it out, I'm an old school Satellite but a newbie to IPTV, it does appear the way to go. Its not quite the same quality as Sat, the audio sucks, but the options and channels are amazing, still figuring it out myself...big change after 30 yrs or so....but Sat has been changes all the time too, DU will vouch for that, but I knew that stuff, IPTV is new to me .....I'm catching on though

I remember the blackbird, I can't say I remember the buzz box, I been in the sat **** since just before the 2000's. keychanges....coolsats..before the files, it was fun, there were so many sites and help back then, I helped and moderated many sites, ended up with my own site, FTARailroad, it was crazy back then, and fun

Check your area for 5G wireless home service, I'm rural and on 5G wireless, up to 100 meg, 600 gig bandwith for 50 bucks, just uses a sim card like your phone, mine works great

I have mine place the modem where you get the best service, no receiver, no cables, I can just unplug it and take it to the camper...or anywhere really, I have mine running to an 8 port Asus router, mostly for hard wired internet in the home....some specific IKS locations, it works great....you have to check your area but I guess if you get good cell service, it could be available, if not its probably coming

I do want to add, and I know this is the wrong thread. I'm a newbie with IPTV, and I couldn't get it to work, I discovered Rogers reduces streaming to 3 mps. I needed alot of help, and I thank sat91/82 for his patience with me and help, after adding a vpn it is working great. So please keep in mind, if switching to this service, and IPTV is the way you choose to go....a vpn maybe necessary.

I just scanned 91 with a Mega TV box, it scans all the channels including the 3/4 ones. Have a lot of channels moved, maybe they will get all content on 91? I will post a transponder list later.

I get all of those, on Sat 82 and Sat 91. ie - Sportsnet Ontario on 405 and 1405.

Check the transponders one at a time to confirm signal strength.If it's good, do a SAT scan, not transponder scan repeatedly to see if you snag a few more.Also verify your lnb/switch data.

I got 405 by doing a scan of H and V by themselves

The jynxbox is one that seems to be Trying to lock-on to Transponder, when it can't it tends to SKIP over them

That's why you have to do Multiple scans with it to try and snag some channels Just like the NOOF Said
When I do a Sat scan (say 91) I turn "OFF" The LNB power to 82 so to eliminate any possible Cross talk between Sat's
or between a switch if one is being used etc. Even better hook up Direct when doing scans.

I never recorded with any FTA receiver I used, too many Variables/glitches to worry about for a proper recording
Especially Now with ALL the changes going on etc.

It has been almost 2 weeks with no video (just audio) on the NHL Package. I am told that the transponder settings must not be correct. When the transponder is scanned, numerous channels (including the NHL channels) are found. The other channels are ok, nothing on the NHL channels.
Is anyone getting any of the NHL Package channels?

Maybe an updated channel list of what we should be getting would help? Hard to understand if its settings or we just don't get the channel any longer. I haven't had center ice in weeks on either 91or 82. thought it was me. Also never got the last UFC.

CTV & CBC, Global etc have moved to 91w. Re-scan a few times and they are working on 91 in HD.

The channels and numbers don't change, just the satellite they are on.

Not sure which receiver you are using, but if you scan 91 a few times, you should see doubles in the channel guide of newly added channels that are found. CBC news 1564 would be there twice on 82W and 91W. You could go ahead and delete the 82W channel from your channel list leaving you with only the 91W channel.

Same thing for other channels that move from 82W to 91W which seems to be every few days right now.

Are you still trying to use a DL-T5, If so they are "DOOR-STOPS NOW" Not many FTA receivers left that are still "Functional"
with all the changes that are Happening & Still to happen etc.

Most channels are still working on my Sonicview SV8000HD as well.
